The Brels are very happy to announce that they will be releasing their debut album
“Parasites, Poptarts” in the month of October, 2007.
The Brels are a band featuring three brothers, Gus, Gene and Stef Lashchuk. Over the years they have shared bills with the likes of G W Mclennan, Underground Lovers, the Shins, M Ward, the Cruel Sea , Sean Lennon & Manic Street Preachers.
The Brels play predominantly short and sweet indie pop/rock. More often than not they play as a four-piece with Gus and Gene driving the band and new members Lachlan Wilson (Love Stereo) and Tom Smeets providing new inspiration for the music.
The album has been released through Mixmasters and distributed through MGM.
